Sea World

On our last full day in California the Forbes clan plus Michael, Christina and little Catherine Godfrey went to Sea World.

We had fun watching the sea lion show.

Playing in the kids area.

And enjoying all the aquariums.

Some of us big kids even got to ride the big rollercoasters.  (except Colleen.... you can't do anything when you are 34 weeks pregnant.)
What I don't have pictures of is most of us getting SOAKED at the Shamu show.  My mom and Colleen went back to the cars and got us dry clothes, underwear included.  I also don't have pictures of us spending 10 dollars to stand in the human dryers trying to calm down cold, sobbing children.

It was a fantastic day!

Turning 34

The day before my birthday, Forrest bought me a new iphone. It is my first smart phone, and I can't believe I went so long without it.

On my actual birthday we met up with my friend Lyndsey and her three kiddos at the Point Defiance Zoo.  We got to peak at the new baby tigers.
Goofed around a little bit.
Played in the shark mouth.
After lunch, Lyndsey and her crew headed home and we went to see the rest of the zoo.

My kids love the walrus tank.  They are so huge and it is fun to see them swim right next to the glass.

It was a fun 34th birthday!

Grandpa Jack's 100th Birthday Party

Sunday evening we headed back to Rancho Bernardo for a birthday party at Carver's - my Grandpa's favorite steakhouse. With the 30+ of us and 35 of Grandpa's friends it was quite the party.

Eph fell asleep on the way there.
We had put together a bunch of pictures of Grandpa in the number 100.  I wish I had taken more pictures of the decoration - Grandpa used to work for Ford and LOVES cars, so each table was named after a different car that he has owned.

A bunch of friends.  It was so cool to see how many people showed up for the party.

WooHoo!  Grandpa Jack is 100!

San Diego Day 4

Sunday morning was Grandpa's actual birthday!  100 years old!  We all got up and went to Mass. It was 30 minutes away and Mass started at 9. Not an easy feat for a group this large, but we all made it with time to spare.  Grandpa was honored at Mass and the entire congregation gave him a standing ovation.  Pretty awesome.

We then headed back to the beach house and had some family pictures taken.  The rest of the afternoon was spent on the beach.

San Diego - Day 3

Saturday at the beach was pretty low key. We had decided not to go anywhere and just enjoy each other.
We spent time at the beach and playing in the waves and eating.
Yummy fish tacos for lunch and delicious steak for dinner.
After the kids went to bed some of the guys went hot tubbing while the girls talked.  (About labor and such- no wonder they left.)
It was a relaxing and fun day.
