Love Em or Leave Em

Two weeks ago, I ran in my first 5K of 2007. It was a beautiful run around Greenlake in Seattle. My coworker Delene ran with me, and we had a lot of fun. My goal was to run the first two miles without stopping. I have done absolutely NO training. (so much for New Year's Resolutions). I reached my goal, and ran/walked the last mile. It was a lot of fun, and I am now planning on running a race over St. Patrick's Day weekend.

Oh Canada...

Last weekend, Forrest and I got the chance to go to Whistler with our friends Ian and Amanda. We drove up late on Friday night, and I was the one that got to drive through the border. I was really excited because I have never been to Canada before. The driving wasn't bad, it was just a little tricky to tell how fast I was going because the speedometer on my car doesn't light up.
We arrived in Whistler at 1AM. The next morning we went skiing, and it was absolutely beautiful. After we were done skiing, Amanda and I ditched the boys and went to go get facials at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler. It was SO relaxing. I have never had a facial before, and it was so much fun. I had no idea that it would include a light massage as well. I haven't told Forrest how much it cost, because I am afraid that the exchange rate is not as good as I want it to be. :)

Sunday, we went skiing again. I was a wimp and only went for a half day because my shins were bruised from my ski boots. That night we stayed at the condo, went to the hot tub, and ordered pizza. When Amanda called she was told they were out of large pizzas, but we could get a medium or extra large. Silly pizza place, didn't they know they could take extra large dough and make a large pizza?
Forrest and I went out to breakfast at a cute french restaurant on Monday, and then did some shopping. We both enjoyed our long weekend, and it was so relaxing to be away from everything. I didn't even talk to anyone on the phone for three whole days, which is totally amazing for me!
