Ephraim

The past two days have been rough with Ephraim - full of fits, direct defiance and me feeling like all I have done is discipline. So - to combat my mommy fatigue - Here are a few pictures from the last week of Ephraim.
Helping Daddy give Wallis a bath
He told me he wanted to go potty - and when I followed him up stairs - I found him sitting on his potty on his windowseat.
He helped me give Selah a bath and when I took her out - he climbed in.

Which is Which?

Can you tell which picture is Selah and which is Raina?

One Month

Wow - this month has flown by.

Selah continues to be a good eater. She eats every 2 hours or so during the day and then has a four to five hour stretch at night. Right now that stretch starts at 7:30. I would like to move it a little later, but can't complain too much. She is already a better sleeper than her big brother was at this age. I am going to guess that she is edging close to 10 pounds. She fills out her 0-3 month clothes quite nicely and I am already starting to think ahead to her 3-6 month wardrobe and what else I need.

Selah loves to be held. I recently purchased a Sleepy Wrap which has come in very handy. She loves pacifiers. She loves tummy time and has quite the strong neck. Selah is starting to smile on purpose. The corners of her lips will go up, but no full smiles yet. Ephraim still enjoys getting to hold her and has started calling her "baby" or "sis". She is very clear on how she is feeling and if she is upset/hungry will let you know with full on screaming - there is no slight whimpering.
We are enjoying being a family of four and are enjoying the entrance of the color pink to our world.

The Cupcake Hat

One of our friends gave us this adorable hat for Selah. it is too big for her little head, but fits Ephraim just fine.

Ephraim has no concept of girl colors - he just likes hats
Selah will enjoy the hat when she is a little bigger

Ephraim's 2nd Birthday

This post could also be titled - Ephraim's best day ever
Our little guy turned two on Easter. It is unbelievable that he is actually that old! When he woke up in the morning - I took him downstairs to see his "surprise". His surprise was Nana and Aunt Michelle - who had arrived after he had gone to bed. We then woke up Daddy and found our Easter Baskets. Ephraim's had bath toys and pajamas in it. Grandma and Grandpa showed up at the house and we all went to church.
After church Ephraim took a nap and we all decorated Easter eggs. When he woke up we had an Easter egg hunt. Ephraim beat Wallis this year and found all but 2 of the eggs.

After the egg hunt he got to open presents. This little guy is spoiled rotten and got clothes, a dump truck, a rocking chair, cutting fruit and a puzzle.
I made chocolate cupcakes and decorated them like sheep.

Ephraim didn't really get the blowing out the candles - and didn't eat his cupcake. He ate all of the frosting and marshmallows though!

Two Years and Two Weeks

This week I took both kids to the doctors for check ups
Ephraim's two year stats:
Weight: 26 lbs (26th percentile)
Height: 34 inches (42nd percentile)
Head circumference: 18 1/2 inches (12th percentile)

At almost two Ephraim is very into: balls, bats, cars, trains, playing catch, playing chase, and being outside.
Selah's two week stats
Weight: 8 lbs, 13 ounces (68th percentile)
Height: 21 inches (77th percentile)
Head circumference: 14 inches (42nd percentile)

At two weeks Selah is very into eating - her weight gain according to the doctor is "more than adequate and then some."
